Spaceman 4 Hire

As some of you know I have recently had the pleasure of

Lazer

relocating….again.  About a week ago my roommate and I came home to a court order stapled to the door.  In this document it stated that my landlord had failed to pay her mortgage in over a year, and so the bank was foreclosing on the property.  With a little more investigation we came to the conclusion that several court dates were missed on her behalf to work out a subsequent deal to keep the property.  We were basically “up a creek” and had 5 days to vacate.

This unfortunate incident left me facing some major decisions.  I could either stay in the Seattle area and be homeless and yet employed. Or I could move to Spokane, have a roof over my head, and be unemployed.  Obviously I chose the latter, and I am so happy I did.  You can never truly understand the love and support that  friends can offer for one another until there is need.

I now spend my days slinging my resume across the internet, endlessly searching for that next job opportunity.  With the help of Nicole (who is in the know), I have tracked down every distributor and brewery in the area.  Unfortunately the opportunities in the adult beverage industry are lacking as of late.  So I will bide my time and look elsewhere until opportunities arise.  Unfortunately being the winter season I feel that “Pirate” may not be a wise decision.  I guess I’ll have to aim a little higher…

Well I'm here now. The drive across the country was fairly uneventful, good weather and straight roads lead the way into Washington. After a couple days in Spokane I arrived in Snohomish on Wednesday night and started my adventures at Jiffy Lube the following day. Sunday was an enjoyable day for both Ru and I. We hopped in the car and headed up to Bellingham for a day with mutual friends. I was extremely happy to see her and Amadeus ( my old roommates red nose pit) pick up where they left off. It was like watching a blur of fur run around playing. The air was filled with snorts of content and growls of elation.
Things are not so great for the canine moose as of yet, she is currently confined to our room. We are in the process of getting her used to the new faces, and then we start the introduction to the other dogs. I hope that process goes smooth. The other dogs are extremely nice and keep inquiring about who is locked up....she on the other hand is a little mouthy towards them. All in due time I guess. Well, that's it for now. As soon as I discover where I hid my usb chord for my digital camera I'll post the only picture I took on the trip. It is priceless though, don't think I could have topped it. Till next time....tata.

dos dias mas

Sunday is the day of departure from the previous chapter in life. While it was a good chapter with many new experiences and people I will miss, it is one I am glad to be closing. I have not felt like myself since August 16, 2008, the day I left my beloved B'ham and headed for KC. However, as the title states "two more days" I will soon become whole again.
With that said I bid you adieu until my destination is reached.

the final step

Tomorrow I take the final step for my new job back in Washington state. That's right! I get to pee in a cup! This is the first time I've actually been excited to pee! I have the pleasure of becoming the assistant manager for one of the best lube shop managers of all time, Don Schwab. His store is currently number 3 in the region and on track to be number 1 in power rankings company wide for the month of September. If he accomplishes this it will be twice in two months. I'm rather excited to be working with Don again, we have a proven record as a very successful management team. Well, my delicious cheese sticks are done so I will bid you farewell!

and in this corner...

Well, I might as well start off with a little introduction for the cast of characters in this so-called blog. First off there is Ru. Ru is a purebred American Bulldog and 100% lapdog. She really is not aware of her size and the discomfort she can create when she sets her 90 pounds of love on someone. We have been a family since she was weined from her mother a little over 3 years ago. And what a time we've had.
Next up is the Subaru. The Subie is more than just a vehicle, for me she was a right of passage. The first "new" car I purchased. She was my doorway to a whole new community of love and admiration that comes with owning a Subaru. Complete strangers bonding over the simple joy and understanding that is Subaru. Okay, enough about that. Down to the nitty gritty, she is a 2003 Impreza WRX Sportswagon. 2.0L 4 cylinder turbo, All Wheel Drive. I have upgraded her with a few power and suspension mods but I will not bother you with those details (unless you wanna know). I got her in the best color ever crafted by mortal man...World Rally Blue.
That just leaves me. I'm Keith. If you really want to know about me just stop in and take a peek from time to time. That'll give you an idea of what life is all about for me.
